What Is Capless Wig (Basic Cap Wig)? Get Know Its Features & Benefits
As you know, with the proper human hair lace wig installation, you can enjoy the unit for weeks (usually 4-6 weeks). Could I wash (shampoo) my Lace Closure Wig or Lace Front Wig while wearing it? The answer is YES! Read this guide, you are going to learn how to wash a human hair lace wig on your head!
How Do You Wash Human Hair Lace Front Wig/Lace Closure Wig While Wearing It
Sometimes you have to wear a human hair wig for many days to weeks. For those who wear hair wigs to participate in intense sports and often sweat, but do not want to take off their wigs in the bath, you can also wash them on your head. But you have to be more careful than washing your own natural hair. We will introduce you to two methods to shampoo your lace wig while wearing it.
Method 1: Simply and Quickly Dry Shampoo Lace Wig On Your Head
Step 1: Check that the hair wig adhesive (whether it's glue, tape, clips, or a combination of the three) is still firmly attached to your head and is not peeling, especially around the hair edges.
Step 2: You need to gently comb any tangles using a wide-tooth comb or fingers. It's best to start from the pasting point and comb down to the hair ends gradually.
Step 3: Spray a special disposable spray (Dry Shampoo) on your human hair wig. Sprays are lighter than creams, which can cause heavy hair pressure.
Step 4: Then, from the side to the fixed direction, use a brush to tie the lace front wig from the end to the root.
Step 5: Re-clamp or re-bond any part of the wig that begins to loosen.
Step 6: Use a wide-tooth comb to fluff the wig up and blow-dry it to diffuse it.
Method 2: Wet Wash Lace Wig Worn On Your Head While Taking Shower
Step 1: Make sure that the adhesive (whether it's glue, tape, clips, or a combination of the three) is still firmly secured to your head, and there is no looseness, especially around the edges.
Step 2: Use a wide-tooth comb or fingers to gently comb any tangles. It's best to start from the pasting point and comb down to the hair ends gradually.
Step 3: It is recommended to use warm water (about 77-86°F), because water above 86°F may deform a human hair wig and make your wig lose elasticity, while cold water will not melt the shampoo and conditioner.
Step 4: In the shower, tilt your head backwards and lightly wet your hair. Always make sure the water flows from the back of the head, as this will make your binding more gentle, especially on the front. If you stand in the shower, touching the water directly to the wig may loosen them.
Step 5: Use a mild shampoo (shampoo made specifically for wigs or for fragile hair) to lather the hair very gently. You only need to wash it once to remove the oil and sweat that has accumulated over the past few days.
Step 6: Unlike natural hair, do not scrub the roots of your hair or pierce your hair deeply with your fingers, otherwise the wig may be loosened.
Step 7: Rinse gently with water, and then flow down the neck. Gently loosen your hair with your fingers to ensure that all shampoo is rinsed off.
Step 8: If necessary, apply the conditioner directly on your lace wig hair, stroke it from the root to the end, and rinse it again with water after 4-5 minutes.
Step 9: After showering, pat dry hair with a folded towel. Do not squeeze, rub or tighten the human hair lace wig when dry. Pay attention to the length of natural hair. If the natural hair under the wig is only one or two inches long, it will quickly dry out using a towel. However, if your natural hair is very long, it will take a long time to properly dry under the wig. You can use a hair dryer to dry the middle of the long wig to the tip of the hair.
Step 10: Check whether the lace wig is still firmly bonded. If it is loose, you can stick the lace again to ensure it is firm. The adhesive may turn white in the shower, but will become transparent again after the hair dry.
